This page shows how our simple content management system works.. The block to the right contains "News" which on a real site might change quite often. Rather than contacting the web site developer with the update, wait for them to perform the update, and then PAY them, the user can make some changes on their own. In our system, only specific blocks of text (and links to other URLs) can be quickly and easily updated by the web site owner via a simple web based editor. The upfront cost is higher, but the backend savings in money and waiting time is worthwhile for sites with frequent updates. In our simple demo, which allows you to modify the News block to the right, first notice that your login status is presented below. If you are not logged in, You are Not Logged In is displayed below. If you are logged in, You are Logged in as UserName is displayed and an Edit the News link is shown in the news block. Click this link to edit the news in the edit window. When you are finished, you can logout by clicking the Logout link below or simply close the page. Notice that when you are logged out or after you have closed the browser, you are unable to access the edit page even with the actual url To try our demo use the following user id and password. You are not logged in. Login To exit the demo, simply close this window. | NEWSThis is not editable text but the bolded text below can be modified from the administrative login and additional text added.
